Who :   Site supervisors, safety officers, legal appointed 8.1(a) persons. This course is to enable anyone who is involved in managing people for work at height to write or implement a fall protection plan. This is in order to comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 Construction regulation sec 8 involving working at height.

Duration: 3 Days


  • 1x Certified copy of I.D Document

  • Copy of NQF Basic Fall Arrest US229998 Certificate or Strongly recommended: NQF Fall Arrest & Basic Rescue US229998 + US229995 Certificate

  • Copy of Medical Certificate stating fitness for Work at Height (this is a Unit Standard requirement)

  • Learners MUST be proficient in English reading and writing, up to the level of Grade 10.

  • Optional:

  • Recommended: HIRA Competence (Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment)

  • Rope Access Level 1 (US229998 + US230000), Level 2 (US229996) or Level 3 (US229997 + US230001) Certificate.

  • Fall Arrest Rescue Technician (US229999).

  • Any other applicable access specific qualification in chosen field (Scaffold, Temporary suspended platform etc).

  • High Angle Rescue.
